Angelica Nails very kindly donated a selection of their polishes for the Brighton blogger meet goody bags earlier in the year, but it's only now that I have gotten round to trying them out. I have such an unreasonably-sized collection of polishes that these have been neglected, as I simply forget exactly what I have!
Angelica Nails is a UK-based company founded fairly recently, in 2011. They sell a big range of collections, such as glitters, foils, pastels and dual tones, at the very reasonable price of £2.75 per polish. The range of polishes is available in Primark stores across the UK.
Bondi Beach is a beautiful coral shade which is perfect for the warmer months, and was part of the Summer 2013 collection. I like to have a pink or coral colour on my toes all year round, so I'll certainly get a lot of use from this shade. It's a coral that veers more towards peach than orange or pink shades, and gives perfect coverage in just one coat.
Ibiza Summer is another shade from the Summer 2013 collection and is the most stunning royal blue, which is a great dupe for the far costlier Baker Street from Nails Inc. Two coats gives beautiful coverage and just looks so glossy and sophisticated with a good quality top coat.
Pasha Pink, another shade from the Summer 2013 collection, is a bright barbie pink which actually is far brighter than the picture shows. It really is a lovely shade and is one that I will be getting plenty of use from come next Summer.
Spring Break is a chunky glitter polish with seven different types of glitter suspended within the polish, according to Angelica Nails. It is based on the original chunky glitter, and has been re-released as a 2013 version due to the high demand. One coat of Spring Break looks great over a vast range of base colours, but gives an almost full coverage after three coats. The only downside with this polish is that as some of the glitter is quite chunky, I find it lifts quite easily and catches. The only way I have found to counteract this is to double up on top coat.
Au Naturel is a beautiful nude shade with a satin finish. The shade itself was originally from the Spring 2013 collection, but was revamped with the satin finish. It's a great polish for those days when you want a very subtle manicure, and it makes a nice change to the usual glossy manicure. The satin effect is slightly different to a matte effect, as it has an ever so slight shine to it.
